1. Why you should spend your money on experiences, not things.

2. Love this interview with Wes Anderson’s graphic designer, Annie Atkins.

3. I tried these sensational sweet potato and black bean tacos at El Presidenté Tuesday and have been dying to replicate the recipe (it’s safe to say that whether you are a vegetarian or not, this dish is definitely a crowd pleaser).

4. I’m obsessed with my friend Roxy’s furniture designs and this chair has my name all over it.

5. This complete 20 minute workout trains your entire body and includes picture references. Yes, please.

6. I could spend hours on this website the way I could spend hours in a bookstore.

7. Mackenzie’s step-by-step directions on how to create a city guide is probably one of the most helpful things I’ve read lately – especially with so many trips planned this summer!

8. Striped. Navy. Ruffles. Need I say more? #GetInMyCloset

9. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out Banana Republic’s new flagship store on 5th Avenue.

10. I can feel a little less guilty about my three pound bag of almonds I keep at my desk after reading this health article…

11. Retiring in my 30s to travel the world seems like a daunting task, but this couple pulled it off. Great read.

12. Oatmeal lovers, take note.

I can’t tell you how much has been going on these past few weeks or how quickly the rest of March flew by – between work (now two jobs!), Easter weekend and my oh-too-quick jaunt to Florida with Yasmin (where one of my favorite moments occurred involving my dad as Yasmin and I showed him around Hogwarts at Universal – he was hilarious, needless to say) , I’m ready to lay low this weekend.

However, I did find time to squeeze in a viewing of the Broadway show Dr. Zhivago on Broadway  and spend Easter showing Logan a few of my favorite Upper West Side spots – it was gorgeous walking around Central Park and I don’t know anyone who is not impressed by the American Museum of Natural History’s dinosaur collection. I also finally got to check out Book Culture (the cutest book and trickiest shop I’ve ever been in this north of the city) and it took all my will not to stay in there for more than ten minutes – the two times I went in there this past weekend.

I’m traveling to Connecticut tonight, but I’m excited to see my friend Natasha for Sunday brunch back in the city. She was one of my best friends in college (her sorority house was conveniently right across from mine) and I cannot remember one of our nights together in Gainesville without laughing. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed for good weather and a great Master’s Weekend!

What are you planning to do this spring weekend?

1. I don’t want, I need this adorable clam shell clutch.

2. My new go-to spot for trusted information on the best in skincare, anti-aging, aesthetics, and wellness.

2. Advice on breaking into the fashion industry from the pros.

3. How to get the top spring trends under $100.

4. Time to book a flight: Airbnb has officially expanded into Cuba.

5. On the calendar: Lilly Pulitzer for Target goes on sale nationwide this Sunday!

5. TIME came out with it’s annual top 100 influencers list – who are you surprised (or not surprised **cough Lorne Michaels) to see on there?

5. Another coffee table book I am dying to get my hands on before the summer.

6.  Have you started spring cleaning? Freshen up your home with these nine tips.

7. The coolest travel necessity and the closest thing we have to time travel is now all in an app.

I’m still amazed by how the weeks are now flying by now that we’re getting closer and closer to summer – not that I’m complaining. I’m ready for sandals and warm weather, which why it was such a tease to go to the Lilly Pultizer for Target private shopping event this week. Oh the things I would do to wear a sundress (sans tights) and not feel completely scandalous.

While it has also been an extremely busy work week as Manhattan Magazine transitions to Beach Magazine for the upcoming summer season (essentially we change our story focus from New York City to the Hamptons) and a persistent cold, I’m ready to road trip out to Penn State with Logan this weekend to see his alma mater’s blue and white football game! In addition to meeting up with friends and tailgating, I’m looking forward to exploring the school. Make sure to keep an eye on my weekend adventures via Twitter to see how this SEC girl survives in Big Ten territory.

(go Gators!)

Is it spring yet?! I can’t believe I’m still bundling up in my winter coat (and I’m not just talking about in the office – it seems like New York has not checked their calendar lately). Minus the cold, it’s been a crazy busy (no surprise), but fun week! I was able to work with a few people on a couple projects I have in the works, plus I had a much-needed girls night Thursday at SRO, this delicious “pizza” speakeasy in SoHo that serves truffle pies and Nutella calzones. I love speakeasies of any kind, so it was especially fun to try out with some of my closest city friends. I’m looking forward to this weekend, too – multiple birthdays (one celebrated early with the above photo) and the chance to get some much needed “spring sprucing” done.

Happy weekend, y’all!

1. This beautiful blouse was made for spring.

2. Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls classic and quirky office tour #swoon

3. The quick & easy smoothie Candice Swanepoel swears by.

4. These travel hacks are well-worth going over.

5. Just in time for bikini season: how to drink on a diet.

6. And on that note… three unsuspecting cleansing foods.

7. Stumped for a new Happy Hour spot this spring? Check out these hot spots.

8. 10 ways to build your personal brand.

These past few weeks have been flying by – I cannot believe Christmas is in two weeks! Minus seeing the Rockefeller Christmas tree and browsing the holiday market at Bryant Park, I feel like I’ve barely prepared for the holiday season. My laundry list of things continues to grow, including the list of holiday parties (I have three in a row this weekend), with my job search taking over. On top of that, I still need to pack for both my trip to Florida for Christmas and my backpacking adventure through Europe/Africa trip starting the 26th. Did I also mention the Miss New York Pageant is a month away? Whew. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a little productivity and fun over the next couple weeks.

1. The holiday season gives me the best excuse to use my kitchen and these healthy sugar cookies sound too good to be true.

2. The eight rules for throwing an Instagram-worthy party.

3. A backstage look at the Rockettes’ Radio City Christmas Spectacular (!)

4. How perfect are these red heels for the holidays? (Or any time of the year, for that matter).

5. The sweetest story by Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere on how she knew her husband was the one.

…On that note, this letter is especially touching for my friends and readers dealing with matters of the heart this season. Remember: Never settle :-)

6. In need of a last-minute holiday dress? Loved my experience with RTR.

P.s. What are you up to this weekend?

Summer Bucket List 2016

Even though it’s not officially summer yet (the season starts June 20th), I feel like I’m well on my way to crossing off a few items on my summer bucket list this year.

I’m really excited to get back into sketching/painting again (#6) and I actually already have a place booked a beautiful house in Amagansett with a good group of friends from the city (#3). Not to mention that I’ve already finished three books – not to mention I always reread the Great Gatsby during the summertime – that were fantastic: The Garden of Eden, The Career Code and M Train. All very different, but equally hard to put down.

Plus, Firefly Music Festival starts this week so a handful of friends and I will be road tripping on Friday to camp/listen to some of my favorite bands/hopefully roast some s’mores 😉

It’s going to be an incredible summer! What’s on your bucket list this season?
